Hello Friends! Christmas Greetings!
If you’re feeling at all like me, you’ll agree that Christmas seemed to arrive in a flash! In my family, we were all astonished last week, as we realized that Christmas was less than a week away.
Thankfully, while it has been a season of bustling and busy, we’ve done our best to carve out time to truly enjoy some of our favorite traditions - like driving around neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights and decorations; we even did a drive-through light experience! That was amazing.
Of course we decorated our home, watched a few Hallmark Christmas movies, some Christmas variety shows, as well as the old school Christmas shows and movies - Charlie Brown Christmas, Rudolph, Grinch, It’s a Wonderful Life and Miracle on 34th street. All in all, it’s been a good season.
But, I want to say that this year more than others, I find myself deeply grateful for what Christmas truly represents- the greatest gift of all time - God’s incarnation;
his coming to the world as one of us to show us his face, his heart, his soul.
To show us why WE are here.
To love, to listen, to forgive, to extend mercy; to use our gifts and talents for God’s glory and to live out our God-given purpose - we each have been given a reason for this life…do you know what yours is? If you’re not sure, take a few spots of time to ask God…ask others.
My purpose is to empower hope and healing by sharing my lived experiences and the stories of how God continues to show up in my life.
And as I reflect on this new way of empowering hope and healing through my podcast, I hope you are inspired to keep dreaming and to be open to new dreams God may have for you.
I encourage you to be present, to slow down and enjoy your family - the people you are connected with by love.
I pray that you will be a vessel - the world is truly weary and it needs us to share God’s love, God’s peace, God’s hope, and God’s joy. Especially in this Season - a season of hope…a season where healing can happen.
Our upcoming episode is about Growing Gratitude - I’ll be talking about gratitude with a friend of mine, Nuka Solomon.
Nuka is the CEO of Free Wheelchair Mission, an organization that gives the gift of mobility to those in developing countries who need a wheelchair but can’t afford one. I know you will enjoy our conversation!
I am genuinely grateful for all of you who are listening. And if you have been inspired and encouraged, if you have new hope and maybe even a sense of healing from the episodes I have shared so far, you can support this work by heading to our website, spotsoftime.net and hitting the “support us” button. Thank you for your consideration.
Merry Christmas!
May we all cherish and celebrate the greatest gift ever given and ever received. Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
And in the words of the inspired Thomas Merton,
“Christ is born to us today in order that he may appear to the whole world through us.”
Amen.
Happy Holidays!
Empower Hope and Healing.
Kim
